BERLIN'S BIER HOUZ @Straits Quay, Penang

Penang [檳城] • 23 JUNE 2013
I am so addicted with the Pork Knuckle, the Berlin's Bier Houz at Straits Quay. It's a German & European Bistro and definitely not to be denied with their famous Pork Knuckle and German Weissbier. I'm in love with the crispy pork skin that you can hear the crunchiness moving in your mouth. The meat is in fact a little bit dry but somehow it's not too hard and we're more to be amazed by the crispy skin.

“German Pork Knuckle” that is prices at RM25 for a half portion and RM43 for a full portion(whole). The price was very tempting. For RM25, the portion of the knuckle was quite luscious. The crackling was very crisp with every bite, but the meat was slightly dehydrated and over firmed. With the knuckle we found the simplicity of taste, just the flavours of pork and some savouriness.

Great place for an evening outing to catch up with friends for a chill beer or a few cocktails. Fantastic food served; especially the German Pork Knuckle. Perfect for football nights!
