Nancy Silverton, Mario Batali and Joseph Bastianich meld their prodigious talents to bring Pizzeria Mozza and Osteria Mozza to the heart of Singapore. With the devout commitment to product, environment and hospitality, the two unique but equally engaging concepts provide dynamic templates for displaying the group's profound passions.
With a wide selection of salumi and fresh mozzarellas, or Lasagna al Forno to Nancy Silverton’s legendary Chopped Salad, and the extensive array of world famous pizzas—foodies and wine buffs, and dough-obsessed pizza-lovers alike will marvel at a menu of epic proportions.
An urban burst of flavor and color reminiscent of its original California home, Pizzeria Mozza welcomes families and business lunchers to indulge in signature dishes that could only be created by Iron Chef America himself, Mario Batali—for at the table, one never grows old.
Stopped by Mozza for dinner with friends on a Sunday (7 p.m.) - cozy place, wasn't extremely noisy, and service was acceptable. The place was dimly lit, candlelight and all... not bad.
Pizzas come in one standard size - 10 inches, thin crust - slightly larger than the "Regular" pizzas at Pizza Hut and Domino's, and range from about $24 to $37.
Now, I've never been a fan of mushrooms - served in any way - but the Funghi pizza ($30++) really blew me away. The cheeses that were used - fontina and taleggio - had fruity and woody undertones which went really well with the 'Funghi misti' (mixed mushrooms) and gave it that extra kick.Bill came out at about $160, for four pizzas and one dessert. Pretty pricy, but the Funghi pizza was worth every penny.
Don't try anything else, just get the Funghi first!
I have been to this restaurant at least 4 times over the past year - would have loved to visit more often but it is a little pricey. I have not had a disappointing meal here and feel that it is quite value for money given the ingredients used are really fresh and dishes are always well cooked.
Pizzeria Mozza is THE place we go to when we crave good pizza. On the top of my list is the prosciutto pizza and at the bottom would be the one that comes with egg at the centre. We also tried various appetizers and desserts. Their olive oil gelato is surprisingly good and is a must try! There is a lot of rave on their chicken wings but I think this is quite overrated..yes, it is good but at the price, I would give this a pass next time. They have daily specials which so far have been good (we tried the ribs, chicken and a fish/seafood dish).
Reserve a table if you plan to go for lunch/dinner as this place is perpetually full. Otherwise, you can try your luck walking in and hopefully get a seat at the bar.
Must tries: prosciutto pizza, olive oil gelato, pistachio gelato
